Been doing well on smallmouth lately. Over the last week, I've boated 30 fish Lindy rigging suckers, along the west bank between Escanaba and Gladstone. My best day I caught 12 and lost 5 or 6 more. I was on pace with that trip today, before the wind and rain got to be too bad, (got 8 and lost 3 today.) Always nice fish this time of year. Caught a couple 20 inchers, several 19's, and lots of 17 to 18 inchers.

Here are a few pics from the last week. The two fish picture was a pair I doubled up on today that were 18 and 19 inches. The one choking on the sucker minnow had a messed up upper lip - catch and release works.

Got out with my dad Friday afternoon. Checked out a new spot that we had never fished before, and it payed off. We landed 12 fish between the two of us, and lost 5 or 6 more. Had one double hook up, and even a triple! Best fish was the one below, going just shy of 20 inches.
