This would be awesome if it works as advertised so you don't have to run cable all over hells half acre and back. Anyone have any experience with these???
In a perfect world they may work as advertised. But.. If you have anything not consistant in the wiring like grounded vs not grounded receptacles, a mix of copper and or aluminum wire, bad grounds. any of these issues could pose a problem. You could buy one locally to try and then return it to buy cheaper online if you like it or scrap the idea if it doesn't work.
I had a similar deal with my house. We can't use wireless anything except in the same room because of the interference from the steel mesh used when the house was plastered or "rocked" when built. Wierd! We have to use a network extender in the house because we can't get a cell signal and there is a tower a quarter mile away. Again, wierd.
