Longtime guests Todd VanLannen and Dale Rudzinski ended up with their limit of walleye today. They caught 5 this morning (had already cleaned them) and another 5 this evening. They have been coming up here for a long time and are pretty good at finding key spots where there aren't alot of people around so it's nice and quiet. I think they said they caught 28 walleye all together today and had a buttload of them that were 13 1/2 -14 inches (most likely 2 year old fish). This year class should be very close to legal by opening day and almost certain to be legal by mid summer. Like the song says "the future's so bright, you gotta wear shades"... Now we just have to hope the water stays dirty this summer so they stay in the bay!!! Oh, they caught 26 of the 28 jigging and the best color was the Glow (all white) Jigging Rap.
We had a great time out there yesterday. Went back out this morning and caught 1 keeper, 2 northern and 7 undersized ones. I sat in the same hole that I caught my limit in yesterday and marked seven total fish. However, it was still one of the best fishing weekends of fishing that I have had in a long time.
