Little Bay de Noc Fishing Reports

Fished in a new spot tonight with good friend Ray.  We didn't really start marking fish until after 5:30.  Only had a few walleye bites, all jigging.  Ray did release a nice pike caught on a tip-up.  Overall the fishing was pretty poor tonight.  I would have had a couple more if it wouldn't have been for  some operator error!  It was so warm out I just fished outside hopping from hole to hole.  Right at dark I had a nice fish come in, and at the same time the wind blew my line around a piece of ice...well, you can imagine what happened.  The fish shot up and hit my bait and I missed him as I was trying to clear my line from the ice...timing is everything!!!  The fish we did get were nice fat healthy fish.  I might have to get out the airbrush and do some painting of some baits, the fish have been puking out very small gobies.  It was still nice to be out there and not have a soul within 1/2 mile or so.  The bite will pick up once we get some nice stable high pressure for a couple days.  Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
