Perch and one shy Walleye

Made it out at about 10am out of Katies Bay. Started near the pack of shacks. Fishing was slow. So I moved much farther south but not as far as Gardern Bay. Fishing quickly picked up and I ended up with 23 nice perch.

At about 2pm. I watch a really nice walleye stare at my baits for about 5 minutes. At one point he/she was staring at my moonshine jig and then did a 360 and swam over to my minnow inhale it and spit it out in less then a second.  Needless to say. It was aweomse watching him down the hole.

Best bait was meduim/large shiner.

I remember well the look on my brother's face one day years ago on Lake Cadillac when he was watching a walleye and it inhaled and exhaled his bait before he even thought about setting the hook. That's why he now sets his tip-up with-in "lunging distance" sometimes. I still laugh thinking about the look on his face...

I remember that afternoon on the south side of Lk. Cadillac.  I'll never forget watching that huge walleye suck in my Custom Jigs n Spins "Stinger" jig tipped with a minnow tail.  Sucked it in and spit it out in the blink of  an eye!  no
