My brother and I hit up Sporley Lake yesterday for a day of fishing. The trip produced 4 nice splake ranging from 17 inches to 22 inches. I missed one on the tip up right off the bat. Felt like a 1-2 pounder. Hot time of the day seemed to be late morning through mid afternoon between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm. Fished a range of depths from 10 ft. down to 35 ft. and a variety of jigs with 2inch minnows. All depths produced fish with no noticable preference on color of jig. The trip was worth the drive for us. We had fun and caught dinner for our family. Found it interesting that no one else was there. You can see the entire lake from one spot and no one showed up untill 2 guys came out at about 11 and 2 more around 3 pm. I'm trying to post some pics. Hopefully they work.

I'm glad you were able to get the pictures up because those are some awesome fish!!! Did I mention that those are some awesome fish!!! Definately worth the drive. Thanks again for the report...
Lol! It took a while but I figured it out. Yeah, it was a great trip. Thanks for the compliment! Ended up with about 5 pounds of fillets. That pig I'm holding in the pic caused some real problems. Kept looping around all our lines and eventually we had four lines and a pole come through one hole. Lucked out on the pole staying tangled up enough to fish it through. I'm an instant fan of that lake. The drop off from shore is very drastic. It drops to 40 ft. 20 yrds. off shore. Small enough to easily cover ground if you like moving around. We'll be going back at least one more time this year.
I forgot to mention, not one perch. We read there's perch in there but we didn't catch any. Had zero luck on wigglers and perch minnows. All the action was on 2 inchers.
