Little Bay de Noc Fishing Reports

Hate to say it, but I think it's over. At least I won't be hittin the ice any more. I watched the ice change hourly from the house today as I was pickin up the inevitable winter Doggy Doo . ( evidently 2 english bulldogs only eat and $hit all winter) even more than I do. Anyways , this morning i glassed over the bay and saw only one shack out there out at the mouth of the Esky river. Also saw one portable with 2 guys fishing out there. Looked like they walked out. There was a day that would have been me, but I guess I'm gettin old or lazy or smarter than I used to be. Would like to know how they did! By later in the afternoon, there was open water north of Escanaba and ice is gettin real black. Now all we need is a good wind out of the North and Bye Bye Now! I'm assuming that shack at the Esky mouth is a gonner? Hope everyone got there stuff of the lake OK and if your thinking of heading out there for one more fish, take it from someone who swam under the ice and lived to tell about it. DON'T GO ALONE, and tie an intertube to your ass. Just when you least expect it , $hit happens. I hate early ice out !!!! Slammer!!!
