Still struggling compared to week or so ago. Last night between 8 guys, there was one fish caught. Tonight, between 4 guys, we caught 3. Plenty of good ice out away from shore in most areas (though it is melting fast). I heard some spots in the narrows at Gladstone are down to about 5 inches is all. Anyway, getting across the pressure crack was interesting. Joe Volpe went to test it out first, and before he knew it, he was standing there in water about thigh high. Found a better spot to cross and out we went. Joe and I both caught nice eaters and good friend Ray Norby caught the biggest. The fish came through for about 20 minutes and that was it...
Got some bait for a young man a few minutes ago and he got his limit yesterday evening between 8:00 and 8:30. We fished the top of a hump in about 25 feet of water. He was fishing the basin in 36 feet, so it sounds like the fish never came shallow. The kid doesn't even use any electronics!!! Grrrrrr......
