Gladstone still ice free...

The Gladstone launch is still basically ice free. There is just a very thin layer of skim ice and will probably melt again today. Should have no problemsa launching thru the weekend. Heck, it's nicer now than it was a couple weeks ago...

 If you coming from the south on US 2 turn on to Lakeshore Drive and the launch will be about a mile down on your right. If coming from the north on US 2 from Rapid River, you want to take the first exit for Gladstone (just after you cross the railroad viaduct). Once you turn off the highway, just stay on that road and you will eventually come to the Gladstone Harbor. The launch is inside the red box on the map. Hope this helps...

Thanks catman! I made my first trip to LBDN last summer and used what is called the Kipling launch, I think. This one looks even nicer. If I make it there next summer I'll have to give it a try.
