Is there safe ice?

How safe is the ice at the Narrows? Is it safe to drive a sled across to fish the south side narrows ?

two weeks ago the ice was anywhere from 12 -24 inches thick all over the bay.  hasnt been warm since so there has got to at least that much. but you can never be too safe.  might be smarter to trailer to a safe access point south of the narrows.  slush was a bigger issue when we were there.

There is plenty of ice. Just stay away from the tips of Hunters, Saunders, and Squaw Points and you have nothing to worry about...
