Garden perch bite still going...5-8-13

Talked with several folks who fished Garden either today or yesterday and they are still doing pretty good on the perch. Almost all of them have spawned out though, so they probably won't be as shallow too much longer. The one guy said he was catching all his in 6 feet of water. Sounds like the morning bite might be the best. Like from sun up until about 10:30 or so. Minnows are selling like hot cakes with double syrup!!!smile

Fished Garden Bay Saturday8-12, lots of boats and all small fish under 7 inches, Tried 3 spots best was close to shore in 6fow, didn't take any hoime. Went back Monday 9-3:30 and did better in 8 FOW keeping nice batch of 8 and ups with about 9 inch ave. mostly spawned out

Had some guests do well this morning bringing back 65. I did not see what size they were though. I will ask them tomorrow if I think about it.

If the ice is thick enough , I might try it monday. If the cold weather keeps up, it should be OK for Quads..........maybe not mine according to TomJohn!!! Might need another tow. Wish me luck!!!
