I posted a few weeks back to ask if anyone knew if the smallmouth were in shallow yet but didn't get any replies. We ended up going up to Big Bay during catch and release season last week anyway and had a blast! We landed over 180 big smallies in just 3 days with 8 of them weighing over 5 lbs and many more just under! The biggest was 7 lbs 1 oz! The weather was pretty lousy but the fishing was great. Can't wait to get back up there this summer.

Congrats on the Smallies. I can only imagine how much fun ya had there. I had a great day catching them through the ice this last winter while I was guiding my good friend Tomjohn !!! LOL. They are a riot to catch and they are just healthy , beautiful fish over there. Good luck when your up next. Slammer!!!
