Well...since Sunday was a "blow" day and we went golfing, Monday was the first "official" day of fishing with Patrick, Jeff and Charlie. These aren't just great clients, they're also great friends that I look forward to fishing with every year. We usually make a game plan according to weather for each day, and Monday was a Big Bay bass fishing day. It was a very hot day, but the bass fishing was pretty good. We landed lots and lots of fish with the biggest being 19 1/2 inches. When you run into fish over there it's not that hard to catch well over 50 bass in a few hours. We hit most of our usual spots and a couple new ones as well, and the quality of some of the fish was awesome. We pitched tubes, worms, etc., but the best action seemed to come with the drop-shot rig. Jackal I-shads were hot as well as some Berkley "realistix" gulp minnows. We were just nose hooking them and if the fish didn't bite on the drop then a few little twitches was all it took for them to inhale it.
