My 11 year old son and I went out yesterday. Got burried at boat launch and didn't get lines wet until 8:30a.m. Traveling on ATV was near impossible and we were way south of Gladstone. Anyway we set up tip ups first and before I got the last one down my sons flag was up. He got his first keeper walleye on a tip up that was 27.5" and 7.5lbs.(also his biggest walkeye by far) We fished until dark not marking much. Marked 14 fish rest of day without a bite. Not much action but well worth it seeing his reaction and excitement!
