Well, it was day two with Ivan and Kevin today. We went with the old saying, "you never leave fish to find fish". So...we went back to our weedline, got out the jigs, and on our first drift along the weedline, snap-jigging 1/4 oz. chartreuse leadheads tipped with crawler halves, we landed 8 keepers. The 2nd drift was not as productive...as some boat traffic was in the area spooking the fish. It still amazes me that people think they can drive over fish in shallow water and think they're going to bite. Hint...the last thing you want to do is drive over the fish you're trying to catch. After a little lull in the action the fish starting biting again, and from 11 until noon we filled out our limit and released some as well. It was kind of crazy at the end of the day...I was counting fish and the guys were still catching them. I was trying to keep track of how many we had in the livewell and ended up throwing two keepers away that we should have kept...OOOOPS! Oh well...it didn't matter, we had a great morning of fishing, lots of fun, and that's what it's all about. Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
