Today Capt. Keith Wils and myself fished with a great group of guys from neighboring Wisconsin. We left the Kipling launch at 8 a.m. with intentions of fishing walleye and then maybe some perch if the walleyes didn't cooperate. Well...we never had to fish for perch. We had a great day on the water, with some very nice fish being caught. All the fish were caught using Walleyes Choice harnesses trolled behind bottom bouncers. I-68, I-78, and good old I-42 caught a lot of fish today. Keith was using some new spinner colors that he's come up with, and they look really good. Chartreuse and orange were his best colors I believe. We ended up with 28 nice walleyes for the guys to take home...making for a great day on the water. The cold north winds were blowing a little more than we would have liked, making for some tough boat control. It looks like the fish are finally putting on the feedbag gearing up for winter. We turned on the marine radio this morning...and they said it was snowing in Eagle River Wisconsin, man I am NOT ready for that yet!! Here's a few pictures I took of our trip, good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
