Went out this morning for some whitefish. Was a long day but did manage to ice two nice ones. Lost one half way up and lost another two right at the hole. But it was a nice day out there and I did have fun.

That is awesome Tom, thanks for sharing. I only managed 2 on my last outing also but it was a fresh meal and time to relax and get out da house. I had a walleye come check out my camera as I was panning it, gills flared and in attack mode. was so graceful and beautiful but not interested in my wax worm presentation. I don't care one bit because just watching his reactions and the way he came in like a big cat was so cool I can still close my eyes and see it. No stress, not cold, good friends and oh maybe scarfed down a meat pie or two in the shack to put the icing on a beautiful day. Thanks for sharing. Cant wait for the long work week to be over so maybe get out again and enjoy the wonderful U.P.
Sitting in the Detroit airport right now waiting to fly out to New York to visit my daughter. 27 degrees when I left Gladstone and all I could think of was how nice it would be out on the Bay without tropical winds and warmer temp. Setting up tip ups without getting frost bite. Sippin some spiked coffe watching the sun come up on the bay and battleing a Bay de Noc beauty...................and a fish!!! LOL
I can sit and stare down a hole all day and it never gets old. To think one goes out onto a body of water as big as the Bay and fishes out of a 8-10 inch area and catches fish always amazes me .
Yeah, we're pretty lucky up here in da U.P. And sometimes we take it for granted. When you look at the big picture, there aren't many that get to experience what we have right in our back yard!!!
