The last time I fished perch I got there about 8:30 9:00 ish and there were there when I set my lines and quit by 10:00. So today I had my lines down while it was still pretty dark out. My plane worked....At daylight they came in and coughtquit a few perch of different sizes. At (:30 the bite stopped cold and that was it. I did get 13 nice perch out of my early morning venture. So next time your going perch fishing try getting there early and see what happens.

When I fished perch in Milwaukee off the jetties as a kid, you could set your watch by the start and end time of the bite. It was so consistant it was a local joke. Those were the days of bringing in two jumbos at a time on perch rigs or casting small jigs with twister tails reeled in as fast as you could . The rougher the water , the better the fishin was. Those were also the days of an all u can eat perch friday fish fry for $3.95. Man, how times have changed!!!
