Had a great time a few days ago fishing with my buddy Ray on an inland lake. We got set up to fish about 9:45 a.m. and had our limit of nice gills around 1:30 or so. Most of them were caught on spikes and small #14 and #16 teardrops and light line, but we did experiment with some soft plastics and the fish bit those as well. Best part about the trip...not another soul on the lake besides us! Peace and quiet was nice...and the eating will be even better. Another buddy got a nice mess of perch on LBDN last Friday and yet another buddy has been getting a few walleyes each trip out...so the fishing seems to be picking up as of late. Good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
