Little Bay de Noc Fishing Reports

Did some pre-fishing with my buddy Ray today on Big Bay de Noc getting ready for some upcoming bass/pike charters.  I was very surprised to find that the weed growth is way down for this time of year.  The water temperature was also much warmer than I thought it would be...with a range of 64 to 68 degrees in the locations we fished.  Most of the fish were located along weed edges, but we also found some very nice fish cruising rock/rubble flats.  The water was clear and we could see the fish bite at times.  We didn't get the numbers of smallies I thought we would...but that could be due to the post-spawn funk or just all the fronts we've had coming through.  Supposed to be another front passing tonight and northwest winds tomorrow of 15-25...so that's sure to mess them up some.  There were plenty of hungry pike relating to the weeds too...and some of them are swimming around with some jigs in their mouths now.  We caught fish on a variety of baits today.  Tubes, x-raps, Keitech swimbaits, but I don't think we caught anything on a spinnerbait, which was odd.  Here's a couple of the better fish we landed today.  Good luck from all of us in the Bays de Noc area.
