Today I had the pleasure of fishing with 3 generations of the Kelsey family.  Pastor Darin and his dad and his son Josh came aboard for a morning trip.  We left the Gladstone Yacht Harbor at 6:30 a.m. and headed right to a spot the wind had been blowing into the previous day.  We pitched 1/4 oz. chartreuse jigs tipped with crawler halves and snapped them back to the boat.  When jigging this way, most of the fish come just as you get ready to snap it again.  It's by far the best way to catch walleyes when jigging in the summer.  The darting action of the jig is a trigger and really makes them eat it.  We made a move for the last hour of the trip to a deeper and much sharper breakline where we landed several big sheepshead, some pike, a couple keeper walleyes, and some undersized walleyes  before heading in at 11:30.  Here's today's catch, good luck from all of us in the Bay de Noc area.
