I have spent alot of time in the Rapid River area as the inlaws have property which we frequent and hunt but never fished up there. Wife drew her bear tag so will be coming up with nothing to do but fish. Looking for some walleye info or perch info. I fish the Saginaw Bay a couple times a week and willing to trade info. Not looking for hotspots or techniques as I am sure to have that covered just general area and water depth. Also fully rigged for salmon and steel if anything left. Coming up the 18th for a week then every weekend till she shoots. Any help before I just wing it would be great. Ogontz Bay launch is a 1/4 form cabin but that doesnt mean I cant trailer. Thanks

I'm no soft water expert by any means, but general techniques on LBDN are drifting or trolling crawler harnesses and crank baits tipped with (you guessed it) crawlers around and over reefs, mud flats and weed edges and steep breaks on east or west shore. Jigs tipped with crawler 1/2's in areas of fish concentrations are also productive. Don't know much about Ogontz this time of year . Garden area for bass is always a winner!
Waiting for ice action.........Bring on the ice!!!!!
Good luck with the bear hunt!!!
Slammer!!!
