Ice about gone!!!
(Preview)
For all intents and purposes, the ice is gone on Little Bay de Noc. There were just a few very small areas that still had ice this afternoon. Seems strange since I was on a foot of ice off the Gladstone Harbor only 9 days ago. She melted fast!!! Don't now about the other launches, but the Rapid River launch i...

Munising
(Preview)
Sounds like the ice is finally getting bad at Munising. Spoke to a guy today that said tomorrow will be his last day. That said, he and his buddy caught a splake, couple coho, some perch, and two burbot today. Might be a spot to hit with a boat as soon as the ice blows out. Just putting it out there...

Guests kick walleye butt!!!
(Preview)
Nick Dood and his friends tore up the walleye last night. Deja vu if these guys look familiar as they did the very same thing last year! It must be a pretty good sized livewell because the fish just kept coming and coming and coming...for a total of 18. The biggest fish was about 10 pounds even. The hot bai...

A nice perch
(Preview)
Launched out of Kipling this afternoon, and headed up towards the Days River. I was mainly looking for perch. Marked good numbers of fish right at the base of the drop-off, all along the sand point. Unfortunately, they were not in a biting mood, and I only caught one small perch. Headed south, just east...

Good bite today...
(Preview)
A couple guests of ours had a good day today catching their limit of walleye. They said the bite didn't really turn on until about 2:30 this afternoon. They were trolling stick baits using snap weights to get to the proper depth. They did best keeping their baits very close to bottom in 28-30 feet of wa...

VERY TOUGH BITE FOR OUR GUESTS!
(Preview)
The bite on Little Bay de Noc seems to have died again ( at least for those staying with us). We have quit a few guys staying with us right now and none of them are catching anything to write home about. I know 8 of the guys fished most of the night last night for a total of one fish. That sucks because it mean...

Lot of good reports
(Preview)
Sounds like the fishing this weekend has been pretty darn good. The storm last week really dirtied the water and turned all the fish on, (perch, walleyes, and bass.) We've had several reports of limit catches of walleyes. Best of all, it sounds like the day bite has been almost as good as the night bite....

10-29 report
(Preview)
The winds FINALLY let up enough to get back on the water today. I decided to make a short trip out from the Escanaba harbor to try Lindy Rigging some retails along the breaklines. Marked good numbers of fish, but they were still pretty lethargic after all the weather. Finally picked up a couple nice smal...

Got Cam off to school this morning and Noel wanted to go fishing again. So...off we went to try and get some more perch. Daddy forgot and left the kids poles in Mommy's car, so we had to get a fishing pole from the resort and get it all set up with a hook, sinker, and bobber! We tried minnows, but all we coul...
